Dyson Floppy Tube

The Dyson design and materials are fine.

95% of the Dyson cordless machines that come into my shop have this floppy/sloppy tube fitting situation.

This is caused by improper use and it’s your own fault.

I can solve this problem by replacing the cyclone and tube, or depending upon the model I will have to change the bin and tube.

Cause:
When using the Dyson with extension tube and an ‘Active’ head (Active meaning that the head has a motor inside and has a spinning brush).
This includes the soft roller head (for hard floors) and the Animal head (yes, this is the reason some models are listed as the ‘Animal’ version – it has nothing to do with filters or anything else).
And of course your main floor head, the one you use everyday for carpets and hard floors.

You MUST NOT USE HIGH POWER because the heads will stick too hard to the floor causing you to add more purchase by placing your hand at the top of the tube where the tube connects to your bin – you do this in order to give yourself more power to push the head forward.

ONLY USE HIGH POWER for the passive tools, like the crevice and stair tool.
